Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk was a key piece for Kansas this season. He is a good shooter who is comfortable shooting from anywhere on the court. He has good size and versatility to play either the SG or SF position in the NBA. He joined Kansas when he was only 16 years old after playing professionally in Ukraine. After 3 years at Kansas he has matured and established himself as a good role player. He has a good BBIQ and will frequently make the right play, whether that’s making the extra pass, attacking, or shooting the open shot. Mykhailiuk needs to improve his playmaking and creating abilities, for now he his mainly a spot up shooter who’s creating ability is fairly limited to straight line drives and one dribble pullups. He also needs to continue bulking up in order to handle the rigors of the NBA. Overall, Mykhailiuk has high role player potential, I compared him to a poor man’s Klay Thompson, this may seem like a reach, but I do see some similarities in their games. With continued development, he has potential to be a contributor in the NBA for many years.
