Write Up
D.J. Wilson jumped into the draft scene later this season and during the NCAA Tournament.  He has improved his overall offensive game this year and shows the potential to be a stretch 4 in the NBA (P/Pop and P/R threat).  He has a good NBA body as he measures in at 6’10” 240 lbs with a 7’3″ wingspan.  He is more of a fluid athlete than an explosive athlete and does a good job rim running and moving laterally (has really good footwork) on defense.  He has some versatility both offensively and defensively and may be able to play some SF in the NBA.  Wilson has a lot of untapped potential and really has all the tools to be a good/valuable player in the NBA for many years.  Wilson is still learning how to be aggressive, he only shot 1.6 FTA/ game (averaged 30 mins/game).  He tends to avoid contact in the post and is more content playing outside, but he does have good touch around the basket and the frame to be a bruiser.  Lastly, Wilson’s rebounding needs to improve, he averaged 7 reb/per 40 mins, while that isn’t terrible, from a player with his size and skill you would like more.  Overall Wilson needs some development as he is more of a late bloomer, but has all the skills to be a good player in the NBA.
