Write Up
Kostas Antetokounmpo is a high upside prospect who shows flashes of offensive diversity combined with good athleticism. At 6’10.5″ with a 7’2.25″ wingspan he has the size/length to play multiple positions (PF/C) in the pros, but is limited to his slender build (194 lbs) and offensive skill set. Athletically, Antetokounmpo is a fluid rim runner and can catch/finish above the rim in lob and P/R situations. Offensively, Antetokoumpo is still developing, he’s raw overall when it comes to post moves, shooting, and feel for the game, but shows flashes of competency with his footwork and finishing ability (65.1% on 2pt attempts). With continued NBA development he may be able to develop a few post moves and occasionally stretch the floor, but it will take patience/work for him to become a reliable scorer in those areas. He also shows some skill/coordination with his creating ability, his handle is still a work in progress, but he shows flashes of being able to attack closeouts and handle in transition, not unlike his brother Giannis. Defensively, Antetokounmpo has solid versatility and upside due to his athletic/physical tools. He plays with a fairly high motor and has the potential to be a solid rim protector at the next level thanks to his length and quick leaping ability.  He has the athletic tools to be a switchable player in P/R situations, but due to his limited play at Dayton it’s difficult to accurately project.  Overall, Antetokounmpo is a raw prospect, he has a good combination of athleticism/upside and with good player development and role placement, he has the potential to stick in the NBA.
