Write Up
Luke Kornet is an interesting prospect, he good size and length along with the ability to shoot, but he hasn’t been as dominant or consistent as you would’ve hoped.  He is the top 3pt shooting player over 7 feet tall in NCAA history, but still only connected with about 32% of his attempts.  He is a good rim protector and was part of the all SEC 1st team and SEC defensive team this past season.  He has a good BBIQ and knows where to be on the court.  He has all the tools to be a stretch 4/5 in the the NBA and at the very least he will add depth.  Like most players over 7 feet tall, Kornet lacks lateral quickness, which will be an issue when trying to cover the perimeter in the NBA.  He also needs to improve his lower body strength so he doesn’t get pushed around on the low block.  Lastly, Kornet is not a soft player, but he’s not the toughest player on the court and could use his size better.  Overall Kornet has some tools and skills that can’t be taught and is worth a second round pick in the draft.
